Through the support of the community by the passage of Prop P, the Encinitas Union School District has created a program that maximizes the use of technology to increase student's engagement in their learning and provides real time formative and summative data on student performance to teachers.
We are starting our second year of the program with every 3rd-6th grader in the district receiving an iPad. We have seen great success in student's engagement in classroom and the integration of digital learning into the classroom by all teachers.
All students in the program will have the option of using an EUSD provided iPad or supplying their own iPad. Students who supply their own iPad will have more flexibility in using their device. They will be able to keep on breaks and during summer, as well as being able to install their own apps on the device. All students will regardless of having a district owned or personal owned device, will receive a standard suite of apps that will be used in the classroom for their learning.
